This brief for this project was to typographically design a 32 page book using French folds, perfect bound with a dust jacket. The theme of the book, by Rachel L. Carson, explores different aspects of ocean and life within it.

Though we could use up to 2 colours, I opted to only use black and white as a key theme of the book was the dark in the depths of the ocean and the light in the shallow pools. Each page was designed to reflect the content of that page and the key themes with different emphasis on composition, size and colour.
