This is the outcome for my third year major project at the university. It is a 20 page book that explores 8 different species of orchid, bound in black fabric with a gold Japanese stab bind.

For this brief, we were given the ability to design anything we wanted and as orchids are my favourite flower, I designed a this book as a tribute to their beauty. Each page features a botanical-inspired illustration as well as detail about their life cycle, symbolism and meaning. The pages are 100% cotton for a soft, sustainable feel and the final page features a real dried and pressed Phalaenopsis orchid flower.
